Hibernal Bundle

$9.00

This Bundle includes the Hibernal Socks (with new Shorty instructions), and the Hibernal DK Socks!

Hibernal Socks:

Skill Level: Easy

Style: Cuff down; Heel flap & Gusset

The Hibernal Socks are my love letter to the long, quiet nights of winter. Worked cuff down, this classic pattern featuring ribbing and mock cables is easy to memorize, and a joy to knit. Plus, I include instructions for a shorty version! I hope they bring you the same comfort they brought me!

Note: This listing is for a digital PDF knitting pattern, not the physical socks.

MATERIALS
Yarn
Fingering weight yarn in the following approximate amounts: 308 (346, 379, 412, 447) yards / 282 (316, 347, 377, 409) meters. I used Knit Picks Stroll Tweed in “Down Heather.” I used 1.5 balls to make the size medium with an 8” / 20 cm leg, and 9.75” / 25 cm foot.

Needles
US Size 1 (2.25 mm)

Notions
Tapestry needle
Snips
Measuring tape

SIZES
These measurements refer to the circumference around the ball of your foot, not the finished sock!
S
(7” / 18 cm) M (8” / 20 cm) L(9” / 23 cm)XL(10” / 25 cm) 2X(11” / 28 cm)
Note:
I knit one size larger for a slightly looser, more relaxed fit (ex: The circumference of the ball of my foot corresponds to size M, but I chose to knit size L instead). If you prefer a more fitted look than what you see in the sample socks pictured in the pattern, knit your normal size. But if you prefer a slightly looser, slouchier fit, knit one size larger than normal.

GAUGE
38 sts over 4” / 10 cm and 28 rows, knit in mock cable and rib pattern in the rnd and blocked
